It’s been a turning point for Apple with the release of Leopard I think. Almost every piece of independant commentary has detailed issues that go beyond annoyance into fairly disruptive territory. Of course, every Apple fanboy adds a little, ‘but overall I love blah blah’ but you can read between the lines.
I just saw that file upload from Flash (and AIR) is completely broken by Leopard too. I bet Adobe is less than chuffed by that little nugget. Ouch.
I should add that despite who I work for, and the fact that I actually like Vista, I’m a Mac at heart, not a PC. But, at least deciding to not update to Leopard has broken my early-adopter cycle of abuse with Apple I think…
It’s a bit dark, so best viewed larger…

Can anyone explain why it’s more expensive to buy and download a product from the Adobe Store than it is to buy and have it shipped to you by mail?
i.e.
Adobe Photoshop Lightroom Download £211.75
Adobe Photoshop Lightroom Shipped £205.62
Adobe Acrobat Pro Download £477.95
Adobe Acrobat Pro Shipped £464.12
There’s been enough said about the price differences between here and the US so I won’t go into that, but I can’t figure out why downloading a product costs more than shipping it to you physically. Did someone get the spreadsheet columns the wrong way round?
I was going to try Lightroom out (I use Aperture on my personal machine at the moment) but I’m not paying extra just to download it.
Riding home one night. One hand on the bike, the other holding the camera… A Leica M8 no less! (not small, nor cheap if dropped!).
Awesome.
