A couple of years ago I gave up coffee and tea completely for well over 2/3 years in fact. Then I went to Japan for the first time and I stayed with my friend Joi and his girlfriend Mizuka for a few days. Mizuka was a wonderful host and at one point made us some amazing green tea. I couldn’t be rude and turn it down and from that point have had a real passion for good tea.

I got this tea from a place in Boston called Teavana (was very happy to see a Teavana store in Seattle too). It’s an aged Pu-erh and one of Nete’s faves.
