The first public photo with an EOS 6d?

This is my friend Jim O’Connell who took me on a quick walk around Kabuchiko on a recent visit to Tokyo. And, here’s a link to some speculative information about the ‘upcoming’ 6d and possible 3d too.

Edit: I understand that Jim was just messing with EXIF data and this isn’t a 6d image – I got too excited (being in the market for a full frame Canon right now…) so, in answer to my opening question – no it isn’t… But it’s still a great photo of someone I happen to like and respect so I’ve left it up…

  1. Man, you get way to riled up about cameras. Make sure to mop up the floor ;)

That said, when can we see you back in Japan?

  2. It was funny… I just edited it in vi to see if the 6d would show up as a new, searchable category in Flickr’s interface, or of the camera models came from a pre-determined list.
I meant to make the photo private, but I had marked it friends-only by mistake…
Just an experiment, not intended to trick anyone.

  3. Canon just announced the EOS 5d Mark II (so, not 6d) – 21mp!!!

    Looks tasty – http://www.dpreview.com/news/0809/08091705canon_5dmarkII.asp
